Deforestation means spoiling the ecological balance by cutting down trees in an indiscriminate way. There are many reasons behind deforestation. To meet up the basic needs of food, housing, fuel and furniture, we are cutting down trees in a large quantity. People cut trees for firewood, making shops, educational institutions, boats, launches, roads and highways. Deforestation damages ecological balance and turns the country into a desert. So the effects of deforestation are very severe. Our country is continuously facing this problem. Floods, droughts. cyclones and tornadoes are the results of deforestation in this area. Owing to these natural calamities, our crops get totally damaged. To prevent deforestation, we should make people aware of the bad effects of it. We should encourage them to plant more and more trees.
